Introduced to VJ-ing through VJ friends, Illuminator got a taste for it by collaborating with others first. Loving the visual language and new ways to express music, she was immediately hooked. She bought her own camera and filmed extensively to make experimental movie edits. The search was on for different ways to 'visualize' music. She VJ-ed more and more at underground parties, collaborating with other people, and developing her skills. Through the years, VJing has taken a front seat, with Illuminator creating her own clips, preparing footage with video effects and making animations. This interesting media became her profession after she graduated in 'Visual effects & interactive media' from film academy in 2006. Her work could be described as Visual Soundscapes, 'poetic, esthetic, layered and associative.'
