In 1994 I met VJ Proto in our Television Production class at New England Institute of Technology. We had the same ideas
about what we wanted to do with video. We are huge fans of Emergency Broadcast Network who were also located in (Rhode
Island of all places.) We started our first band with the intention to use video as an instrument, but the technology was still in
the linear phase VHS tapes and decks. We figured out a way to play our music in sync with the video behind us, but we
wanted to control it. Finally we can do what we always dreamed of - video instrumentation. VJ Proto & VJ PTR 5.1 now
perform as VJDJ's who use video sampling along with remix artistry to visually play the audiences "Memory Harmonies."
